Accused drug traffickers refused bail to avoid prison conditions

They were arrested on Oct. 24 after an investigation by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration

On Thursday, two Mexican citizens were indicted for the conspiracy to traffic illegal drugs, prosecutors said.

In the indictment filed Thursday, prosecutors charged 22-year-old 청주출장안마 청주안마María Elena Arruch-Guzman and 25-year-old Josefa Josefino Guzman with one count each of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm by a felon in connection with the offense.

The alleged crime is for attempting to export a quantity of cocaine to Colombia.

They were released on bail, authorities said.
