The MP said she would have preferred a child with someone of the same sex.
„I think it would be a wonderful family, but in today’s time, it just isn’t possible,“ she told The Observer newspaper.
„I thought from the beginning, I wanted to have a family and I would have loved that. But we don’t think the law is being followed.“
Stirling and her partner were forced to get married after an adoption court ruling that the child would not be placed with a same-sex couple because of existing laws.
The couple have lived together for 19 years and the government in Litchfield welcomed their union this month.
An official from the local court said there had been no legal changes since her previous adoption.
Stirling also described her late husband Philip Stirling as „the father of every child I have ever seen born to couples우리카지노 of the same sex“.
„I am very lucky to have a husband who loved me, who was committed to giving me everything I have evenatyasastra.comr wanted, and who had my trust and a special relationship with me,“ she told the paper.
